x = 110°

(b)

∠ ECD = ∠ FBC = 61° ( corresponding angles )

the sum of the 3 angles in Δ CDE = 180° , that is

x + 61° + 90° = 180°

x + 151° = 180° ( subtract 151° from both sides )

x = 29°
