2/3

Look at what you are getting on the right hand question. 10a+10b has a common factor that can be taken out: 10

10a + 10b = 10(a+b)

Now look at the denominator:

9x-9y = 9(x-y)

There are many answers
Personally, I would multiply 3/5 * 10/9 = 30/45 = 2/3 thus the answer is 2/3

30/45 or 2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

If you factor out a 10 from the numerator and a 9 from the denominator, you should get the following:

Numerator = 10 (a + b)

Denominator = 9 (x - y)

Since we know that (a + b) = 3 and (x - y) = 5, we can rewrite it as:

Numerator = 10(3)

Denominator = 9(5)

Therefore, the answer is 30/45, or 2/3.

Hope this helps!
